Dr. Modarelli received his BS from the Virginia Military Institute in 1963 and then earned his MD from the New Jersey College of Medicine in 1968. After a distinguished career in the US Army Medical Corps, he entered private practice in Tacoma in 1980.

He currently serves as Director of the National Impotence Foundation, is a member of the American Urologic Association and the AMA, and is a Board-Certified urologist. He has contributed to more than a dozen professional publications, sharing his considerable knowledge and experience with his colleagues.

Recognized regionally as an expert in the treatment of impotence, Dr. Modarelli's surgical specialties also include bladder repairs/incontinence procedures, kidney stone removal (including state-of-the-art lithotriptic therapies), surgeries for the treatment of prostate cancer, and numerous other urologic procedures. The founder and chief administrator of Impotents Anonymous, a local impotence support group, Dr. Modarelli is also known as a dynamic public speaker whose presentations are engaging and informative. In addition to his passion for practicing medicine, Dr. Modarelli enjoys golf and travel.
