Eli Thompson, MD is a urologist with Northwest Urology. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California before graduating with honors from the University of California, Berkeley. He then went on to complete a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Washington, DC where he spent two years investigating kidney and adrenal cancer. Dr. Thompson then completed his medical studies at the Keck School of Medicine of USC where he stayed for his general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency at the USC Institute of Urology. At USC Dr. Thompson trained under world experts in the fields of robotic and laparoscopic surgery, open oncologic surgery, endourology, neurourology, genitourinary trauma, reconstructive urology, and penile and urethral prosthetics.

Dr. Thompson is experienced in robotic (daVinci), laparoscopic, open, and endoscopic surgery. He sees men and women with all urologic conditions including lower urinary tract dysfunction and BPH, hematuria (bloody urine), elevated PSA, kidney and bladder stones, testicular cancer, bladder cancer, and penile cancer. He has a specific interest in men’s health (low testosterone, vasectomy), reconstructive urology (artificial urinary sphincter, urethral and penile reconstruction, robotic pyeloplasty), erectile dysfunction (including inflatable penile prosthesis), and minimally invasive robotic surgery (nerve sparing robotic prostatectomy, robotic partial nephrectomy, and robotic simple prostatectomy).

In his free time Dr. Thompson loves all outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and skiing while exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife and daughter.
